  • One mark of a great editor is someone who can sharpen your writing without changing your voice. Sarah does this for me and much more! She makes working on my manuscript effortless and enjoyable. Not only does Sarah possess a solid grasp on the mechanics of writing, she also provides wise suggestions and spots what is lacking that needs to be present. She's skillful, thorough, and dependable. I feel confident in my work after Sarah has gone through it and made it ready for the world.

I can't speak highly enough of Sarah's proofreading skills and how beneficial it was in cleaning up my final manuscript. I expected her to find a few typos, but she made so many valuable observations, and I'm so grateful. My book is stronger because of her input!

-Urcelia Teixeira, award winning author of faith-filled suspense that won’t let you go! ™️

I am beyond thrilled with the editing work done by Sarah. Not only did she catch the expected typos and grammatical errors, but she put great thought into my progression of ideas and logical flow. Her recommendations were consistently on point and not only improved the technicalities of my work, but the overall quality as well. Sarah's input on my application of scripture was well-formed and sound. I probably accepted 99% of her recommendations. I love that her edits enhanced and clarified my writing, but in no way sacrificed my voice.

An author pours their heart and soul into the printed words on the pages of their book. Yet many heartfelt words alone do not necessarily make a great book. A good editor can help you make improvements that will perfect your manuscript. Placing your work into trustworthy hands is of utmost importance. Sarah Smith is that person. However, "trustworthy" is not the only word that depicts Sarah; knowledgeable, dependable, reliable, and capable also describe her. In addition to her excellent language skills, Sarah is exceptionally organized and has outstanding interpersonal skills. Your first draft may reveal your heart, but revision reveals the full message.

About Sarah

With high school English teachers as parents, it was only natural for reading and writing to be an integral part of my life. I have always been a voracious reader and early on discovered the joy of expressing myself through words, winning young authors contests and being published in the local newspaper. While in college, I tutored other students who needed help with grammar. I graduated from Ohio University with a degree in magazine journalism and worked as a writer for a weekly business publication, transitioning to a freelance writer with the birth of our first child. As our children grew, I chronicled our activities and family vacations, wrote newsletters for various organizations, and edited school papers and essays for scholarship applications. In 2020, I joined a national publishing company as a writer and editor assistant, contributing to eight monthly magazines. After beta reading and proofreading a book in 2023, the award-winning author encouraged me to consider freelance editing and proofreading. Perfect Pages Editor was founded a few months later and it is a fabulous career! I live in Northeast Ohio and am a wife, mother, Christ-follower, and scrapbooker, and enjoy traveling, hiking, taking photographs, and eating dark chocolate.
